Recommendation ;)

The person I want to recommend is one of American Idol alumni. She won the 4th season of this very successful TV show. Do you know already?

It's Carrie Underwood!

She was born on March 10, 1983 in Oklahoma. She was brought up on a farm, and before you ask, yes she was a countrygirl :P she milked cows, arranged haystacks and brushed horses. Even though she loved it, she always wanted to sing, in 1996 she was about to get her first contract with Capitol Records, but after the management changed the deal was canceled. She didn't give up and in 2004 she auditioned for American Idol and that is when the star was born...

After her performance in the top 11, she sung Alone by Heart Simon Cowell said that
she would not only win the competition, but she would also outsell all previous Idol winners. As I wrote earlier she won AI, and quickly became a huge star...

Her first album Some Hearts (2005) debuted on the top of Billboard Top Country Albums chart after selling 315,000 copies during the first week. On this album were hits like: Before He Cheats and Jesus Takes the Wheel, both reached the peak of Billboard chart.
In November 2006 Carrie got Horizon Award and the female vocalist at the 40th Annual Country Music Association Awards, and was the first female to win both awards since 1995.
Few days later she was a double nominee at the American Music Awards, which she left with the Breakthrough Artist of the Year award.
She also attended the "2006 Billboard Music Awards" the next month and took home 5 awards.
On December 7, 2006, Underwood's album Some Hearts received two Grammy awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Jesus Takes the Wheel got Grammy for Best Country Song for the songwriters.
On February 10, 2008, she won one Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and her song won for Best Country Song both for her hit, "Before He Cheats".

Carnival Ride was her second album. It was released in 2007 with hits like All-American Girl, Last Name, So Small or cover of Randy Travis's I Told You So.
IN 2008 she became a member of Grand Ole Opry. At the age of 26, she is currently the youngest member of the Grand Ole Opry.
On February 8, 2009, Carrie, for the third year in a row, won the Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for Last Name.

As you know I'm not a big fan of country music...Why I decided to write about her? Because I think she is extremely talented, has amazing vocals and her songs really find their way into my heart. I wanted to show those of you who don't know her, who she is and share with you the pleasure which I find while listening to her songs. I hope that after reading about her and most importantly hearing her beautiful voice you'll come around to country music...or at least won't throw it to the bin every time somebody asks you to listen to it ;)

This is her last song, which can be heard every time AI contestant is voted off...

My future

I must admit that I am rather the type of person that lives from day to day and doesn't like to look ahead. However when I think about my future especially in five years I definately would like to finish the Teacher's Training College :P Just kidding, I hope it will happen this year, although I would like to finish studies and get a job as a translator. My dream job would be translating books at home where I can take care of the house, children and work at the same time. However, as I said before I don't like to look ahead. I just want to enjoy my life :P

First of all I must say that I'm not really interested in politics so I don't have much to say about the presidency. I was interested in the election though, because I was happy that president Bush will not be in power any more :) I wanted Barack Obama to win because I hoped for a change. I wanted the Democrat to finally rule the country. At first, of course, I thought he doesn't have a lot of experience and he is too young for the job, but then I thought that I could trust him. I believe that for the US it will do good to have such a president. What I also want to say about the new president of the United States, Barack Obama is that I hope that because of him the racial discrimination in the US will be finally over. It is well known that in some areas of America there still exist the issue of discrimination and I believe that choosing Obama for the president will give courage and hope to all Blacks that are still harassed. Though, I feel really bad for him because he will have a hard time managing the crisis that has spread all over the US and touched Europe. People expect some miracle, and I hope he will not give up his plans and against all odds will win the "battle".

I hope that such a song will not appear, although I love it :)

OMG you guys :D :D :D
I had my lesson on Friday and I feel really good about it :) Everything went according to plan, students understood the third conditional and enjoyed the game I've planned for the production stage. I felt really confident and enthusiastic, even though someone was sitting on the back of the class ;) I don't know how I will be graded, but I think that my feelings are important too and I haven't thought that I will enjoy my lesson that much. I thought I will be scared to death and will not learn my students anything. But it was the other way around :) Maybe it is true that practice makes perfect ;) We'll see how it goes later on, but for now I'm happy with what I've done on Friday and hope that someone else will be happy also ;)
Thanks for keeping your fingers crossed ;) Or thinking about me...;)

Well, as far as my teaching is concerned, I haven't changed my mind about my future;) I never wanted to be a teacher. I came to College because I didn't get into the AMU School of English and I always wanted to study English, therefore I found the College and got into :) Now I've already had my teaching practice in the High School and I must admit that I didn't like it as much as I would like to. Big part of it was the teacher who had problems with everything I've done and wanted to do. The class where I tought was really nice and good in English that's why teaching them was a pleasure but I knew that the teacher was sitting there and watching me and will definitely have some doubts about my lesson. So as you can see, and some of you already know;>, I had a really tough time there. Maybe in primary school ,where I have practice now, I would enjoy teaching and change my mind, but for now I do not want to be a teacher. My goal is to become a translator but I know that it will take me a while to be ready for it. Even though I want to try:)

This photo presents me and my cousin Malina ;) I love it because we are sooo cute there and the clothing is soo cute ;) I look scared or sad, I don't really remember;>, and she looks excited with her tongue sticking out of her mouth ;) One may be wondering what is going on there, are we playing hide and seek or what;>? And to be honest...the interpretation is all yours because I have no clue what the picture is all about. I just know that I adore it and keep it in my wallet ;)

Ok I really love this task because I love looking at old photographs :) This is me and my cousin, I was long and thin and he was short and thick :) In this picture I'm not even one year old because my mom told that when I was one I've already run through the apartment ;) I was a very qucik child;> And I think that this feature is visible nowadays also;)

I think you can expect more photographs during our another break, because I really enjoy looking through old pictures and sharing them with others ;)
